2025 Highlights

As we close 2025 we want to say "Thank You!!" to our amazing clients who truly are our partners. It has been our honor to support you to reach your desired impact.

Here are some highlight from this year.

Strategic Planning

When the right people are at the table to create a strategic plan an organization creates the best conditions for the plan to be seamlessly integrated into the work of the organization. We ran a strategic planning project in which all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) were part of the Strategic Planning Committee. (There was also a smaller Project Team who oversaw the project so the process could be nimble and adaptable.) The SLT had a large voice in creating the plan that led to ownership of the work. With the plan completed, they are using the project management framework, MOCHA, to assign roles to every milestone in the plan and using the milestones as their annual goals. The work of the plan IS the work of the organization. This is what best practice looks like. What a pleasure it's been to partner with Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School.

"Working with the Leadwell Group has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. Their leadership in guiding us through the development of our strategic plan was both skillful and deeply attuned to the realities of the education landscape. Jodi’s facilitation, in particular, was outstanding. She kept our team focused, moving with purpose, and fully engaged throughout the process. Her approach struck the perfect balance, offering thoughtful guidance when needed while giving us the space to arrive at our own insights and decisions...The Leadwell Group’s understanding of the education ecosystem was a tremendous asset. Their ability to contextualize our work, ask the right questions, and help us clarify our strategic priorities made the process not only productive but energizing." - Joy Bentley Phillips, Chief Growth and Strategy Officer, Academy of Hope

Leadership Development

The Leadwell Group expanded it's partnership with the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) this year. In addition to supporting The Leadership Forum - a cohort-based program for leaders of all levels, including aspiring managers, Leadwell designed four asynchronous courses and designed and helped facilitate two in-person convenings for ~200 Central Office managers on topics like receiving and acting on feedback, goals-based management, and more.

"We've partnered with Leadwell and Christina for several years now to build out our leadership development pipeline across the District...The response from managers districtwide has been overwhelmingly positive. What Leadwell has helped us achieve is manager and leadership support at scale. The goal has always been for our managers to be the best versions of themselves so that their teams benefit from stronger leadership. Leadwell has been an outstanding thought partner throughout, and the investment has returned far more than we could have imagined." - DPSCD Administrator

Coaching

"My coaching sessions with Christina have really supported my professional development as I build my consulting company. It's been 10 years since I received coaching or support from a manager, and Christina has been the thought partner and support I needed to grow (again!). Although most coaches don't love the analogy, I honestly feel like our coaching conversations have been like professional therapy - it created space for hard, soul searching, deep reflection and work, that I would NOT do on my own. As an outward processor, this space has been necessary for this type of critical thinking and growing, both as a leader of a company and a provider of client services. Christina has developed me into feeling confident and calm."- L. Wayles Wilson, Founder & Lead Consultant, Sustainable Schooling

With gratitude and in partnership,

Jodi (and Christina)
